Personal Study Partner
It’s one of those things that makes you wonder why no one has ever thought of it before.
Its brilliance is in its simplicity: connecting to other members of our nation by connecting to the spiritual wealth that we share.
It is about a personal relationship with someone else from “the other side.” Once a week, at a time and place convenient for both partners, over a mug of coffee or beer, partners open a Jewish book on a topic they both enjoy. They read and discuss, wonder and explore, raise differing views and slowly get to know each other, and to respect and love each other, despite the glaring external – because they’re only external! – differences.
Sessions are conducted in whatever way works best for the partners. By phone, via ZOOM, at a personal meeting in a local café, through email or Whatsapp or Telegram. The medium is insignificant – it is the relationship being formed that counts.
It’s easy to join! Just fill a short form that will help us get to know you and what you are looking for in a partner. We will get back to you with a name and contact information, and you’ll be ready to go.
It’s free. It’s easy. It’s fulfilling.
There is only one thing you need to bring to the program, and that is: Respect for the program and for the idea, and a true commitment for genuine dialogue and shared learning.
